Bus Tour

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, but I would still need to upload hundreds of more pictures to describe how FREAKING HUGE this city is!!! It is slightly overwhelming...I have never been in a city this big before, and usually if I'm in a big city it is with my family, and I am not responsible for knowing where I am. There really aren't words to describe how big it is. There are over 13 million people that live in the city.

This is a building at the university we are taking classes in. It is UCA - Universidad Catolica de Argentina. It is a private school, and is apparently real expensive to go to. There are other public universities in town that are HUGE and have like 300,000 students, or some outrageous number like that (I could be totally off with that number, but that is what I remember being told). Schools that big consist of different buildings around town...there isn't the typical American College campus scene here.

This is the building that we will have class in. It is also the library. I especially like the pyramids that are out in front...part of me wants to believe that they were designed by the Illuminati. If not, I just find it ironic that they are located in front of a University!

These are some other students from Southwestern...I think in this pic we are standing around trying to decide what to do for lunch. (If you click on any of these pictures you can see them big)
Charlotte said this bridge is famous.A big ship!
Me and Charlotte splitting a beer...Argentine beer.
Part of the group at lunch...fast food was all we had time for...I didn't mind tho because I LOVE CHEESEBURGERS.
Ewwww. See, this is what we all have to deal with.
A nice big smile from Paige, or Pagina (pronounced Paw-Hee-Nah, just to clarify).
Illuminati!
The next pictures are from the bus tour we went on, so the quality of the pics is taken-from-out-a-window-of-a-moving-bus quality.
A big clock tower.
Three of a billion huge buildings.
More and more and more.
Some interesting sculpture...I think they said its supposed to be a tulip, but I think it looks more like a bloomin' onion, or a "laser".
Who is Normal?
A more rich part of Argentina...this was the area that all of the embassies were at.
One of many statues.
This is a replica of the house that San Martin lived in, I believe.
The city just keeps going and going and going...
Hmm this tower monument thing looks familiar...I feel like I've seen this design somewhere before.
We got out and walked a bit...here we are listening to the tour guide (I guess I was still taking pictures tho)
Some creepy Graffiti.
An interesting mural.
The stadium! If you look closely at the top, you can see where it has coke advertisements...usually they are red and white, but since that is Argentina's rival's colors, coke changed it to white and black.
This area has a little less money, but it was real colorful.
This is the apartment I am staying in. Not really.
The Slums.
The school again.
On my walk home.
I live on this street...
...Down there a little ways!
